The Cold Solitude of being an only Child, or the Heated Fury of Sibling Rivalry?

I could care less. It's not a decision you make. You're an only child? Fine. You have siblings? Live with it. Though, I'm a loner type at heart.

I have a half brother, a half sister and a full brother, whom i've lived with all my life. My half brother and sister only have a one year gap between them, but i am 7 years away from my half brother, and 8 away from my sister. Sure we had our ups and downs but i still remember all the good things they have done for me. The way my brother has protected me for as long as i can remember, and how caring my sister can be. I'm really close to my brother now, and my sister, well, not AS close but still close. Now my full brother who is 7 years younger than me was a completey diffirent story. He was obnoxious and spiteful as a chiled and i loathed him. but as he got older i noticed a change in him, he became better and easier to be around.
So i've pretty much come to the conclusion that the older they get, the better they get. So to be fairly honest i think it's better to be a sibling rather than an only child, and if you hit some bumps in the road of growing up, it's okay! Because you have to get the bad to get the good. Once they get older siblings can become great freinds. It is definately better with siblings.

All these posts would have a hint of bias, as your experience strongly affects your opinion but you wouldn't know what you would feel if you just lost or gained a sibling. I personally prefer being a sibling but I can sometimes 'hate' my sibling but I never actually truly mean it. It's hard to completely know your own true emotions...
