nu885having the attention span of a chipmunk? really? i bet that took alot of thinking there..
Nope, I don't put any thought into my rants anymore. Nobody appreciates them and I get banned if I go too far. I think I do quite well within the confines given me.
nu885wow i said the games were good up to ruby, i dont remember playing ruby on my GB, idiot and i never said that i didnt like turn-based battle systems (i wouldnt have beaten all the pokemon games and final fantasies if i hated turn- based you moron!)
When I said GB, I meant the original games. If you don't like turn-based systems, why complain about this one?
nu885i hate calling people names on the internet but obviously just because you cant play a game that takes more thinking than paper-scissor-rock and you're calling me an idiot? i probably played pokemon while you were crying to you mom wanting to watch elmo on sesame street.. who said anything about Halo? i dont even like that game... and if you didnt wanna read a rant about poke'mon why didnt you just read the topic? so dont go bitchin like a lil pussy to me because you decided to open the topic and read. alot of people here agree there needs to be more to the game, sorry if we like to have more in our games than what they did 10 years ago... i said more than just the battle system so you obviously agree about the lame story
Man, you obviously don't know of me. I like how you assume I can't play anything other than Pokemon. This amuses me. You've also yet to discern the difference between bitching and PURE UNADULTERATED RAGE. I like reading well constructed rants. Yours is not. I simply don't see why Nintendo should drastically change a formula that has worked for over a decade - a formula that, in essence, is perfect the way it is. I don't give a shit about story, either. Red and Blue had no real story. I loved them. Platinum had a story, but that's okay since I love it too. Also, obligatory >implying the games you play require any thought or skill
nu885i beat ruby/sapphire/emerald i know i wasnt clear on this before, im sorry haha i keep forgetting about diamond and the others haha the anger was gettin to me... i played the newer ones but i just couldnt bare it long enough to beat it i just felt like i was playing the same game againalso why would i have kefka as my avatar if i hated turn-based games? or was that game before your time Suiseiseki?
UMAD? Oh man, you must be new around here if you're trying to be
condescending to me. It only makes you look like an imbecile to the people that matter, just so you know.
Cahos Rahne VelozaThere are only three things I'd like to see changed in the main Pokemon games:1. The Plot - the games uses the same plot elements over & over, a kid gets his/her own Pokemon from a lazy ass Professor who doesn't want to do his job & let a kid do it. He then wants nothing more than to be a great Pokemon trainer but he/she then has to deal with a group of *insert team name here* generic villains that don't even have a very diabolical intention in mind, just stealing Pokemon for profit.2. And speaking of profit, why won't they (GameFreaks) incorporate the ability to sell Pokemon you've caught for extra money? I mean, you catch over 500 Pokemon & you only need six in your team, so why not sell the rest to buy much needed inventory items instead of just letting them rot (so to speak) in storage right? Come to think of it, the first team of villains (Team Rocket) doesn't seem to be bad folks if you base it on my proposed idea seeing they are illegally selling Pokemon they stole to people. Had the Government officials in Pokemonland allowed the selling/buying of Pokemon in the first place, Team Rocket would have probably built a very successful & legal business.3. Remove the need to go to Nintendo events to get a hold of event Pokemon :P As I said in the "Cheating is bad thread", not everyone has the opportunity to attend such events so by hosting such events Nintendo is being a big dick about letting fans really catch 'em all :P
1. Plot doesn't really matter, the game's about you and capturing Pokemon. Putting a ton of storyline restrictions on a player in a game that is by nature a pseudo-sandbox makes the game feel more closed-in. I like the looser plotlines of the earlier games (R/S/E just didn't do it for me in that sense despite being good games in their own right) where you're on your adventure and occasionally run into Team Rocket.
2. If you run out of money at any point in the games after about the fifth badge you are doing it very wrong.
3. You don't need to go to Nintendo events to get any of the things like Rotom formes, Oak's Letter etc anymore. There are Wifi events that give you a Mystery Gift. I downloaded Yellow Forest a couple of weeks ago. Didn't need to leave the house. As for the things like the movie release Pokemon, yeah, well, you're sort of screwed. But so is everyone else.
Also, Cahos, in case you didn't know, Pokemon already has a manga. Go read Pokemon Special, you might like it. It's an overall darker world than the games. I really liked it.
Replying to #63
Speaking frankly, Eevee is a terrible pokemon to start with. I'm doing a runthrough of Platinum using one. SO SO BAD.
tl;dr if you don't like the main series' game mechanics...
