Most underrated game series of all time?

What are your picks?I feel that the Gekibo/Photoboy series is one of the most underrated/awesome series of games of all time. There were Jap-only titles for the PCE/TG16, PS1 and PS2. The object is to take pictures of weird things happening around you. Its sorta like pokemon snap but 2d. If you have a GBA and a younger brother, there was a nicktoons game (freeze frame frenzy) that stole the idea and made it REALLY bad. The Wild Arms RPG games. Not a lot of people care to buy them with all the final fantasy titles going around but those games were sleeper hits.

Thatand Surprisingly, Earthbound still isn't known to many.

I'll have to go with Mario on this one...... wait a minute.Trauma Team was quite underrated imo, as well as Psychonauts (although I suppose thats become mildly famous now because it was deemed underrated).

For the series, I think .hack//G.U.
For a game, Namco X Capcom - so terribly underrated it hurts...

Tales Series!!! It IS underrated. If it isn't, why won't they translate all those Tales games T.T Tales games, at least in my opinion, pawns Final Fantasy =P

nowadays pretty much all gamecube games are underated

It depends underrated how exactely...
For exemple Okami, the press and the gamers loves that game but nobody bought it on wii, so Clover abandonnend the real following.Or the Baten Kaitos series, the second one (Origins) didn't even go in Europe and bye bye the DS project T.T

A SERIES is underrated if EVERY game released in it does not do well but is incredibly well made.

I'm agreeing with this guy. Earthbound is hands down... my favorite RPG. Second in line is Super Mario: Legend of the Seven Stars.
There were plenty of RPG's for the PS1 and SNES that didn't even his US stores that would of done fantastic in the US but their to chicken to lose a few dollars.
For example: Tales of Fantasia, one of the best RPG's Ive played on the SNES, period. Originally a Japanese release only.

They are not in a series as most have been mentioned already but a couple of single games I consider underrated would be MadWorld, and Dante's Inferno.

How many games people mentioned are not rpg games? XD

The most Underrated games I've played are Psi-Ops, and Psychonauts, but not sure if that counts, it's not a full series or anything.
