PeteySeph, tens of thousands die everyday due to famine, why don't they deserve the same treatment as the Polish president and his cabinet. Biased imo.

Because they do not run a country. Whether it's fair or not some people are more important than others. Even in a communist regime where all are equal some people will be "more equal" than others. Saying that just because x amount of people die every day means that we shouldn't care about another 87 people is absurd. We should care about all of them, especially those deaths which will have a huge impact on a lot of people.

In reality, you can pay respect/mourn all you want, but that doesn't do a damn thing. I don't see any of you donating or helping the cause so less people die. If you do, good on you. We all live in our little bubble and I'll be damned if you even part a penny of profit from this site on a good cause.

That doesn't mean I have to go say "So he died? Who gives a shit?" You might not care but there is no reason to disrespect people, you can just keep your mouth shut and go post in other topics. Or not as all as you would have if you hadn't been linked here, I'm fairly certain you're just posting to create trouble.

Afaik those were not my words. Murderers/rapists die too should we pay respect to them as well?
Seph

Probably not, but I did also say that some more than others. In those cases the people who matter are their left over families not the murderers themselves. Regardless, you are no longer trying to actually justify your original action but rather trying to point out all the flaws you can find in my statement. So thank you for proving that I was right about you.

what petey is trying to say is, what about nations with leaders like kim jong il [north korean president] or the cuban president [fidel castro] as he first mentions innocent people [good leaders] and then later mentions bad people ["bad" leaders]. would you give mourn to these presidents of a nation if something like this happens?! seph's arguement would state that, "You might not care but there is no reason to disrespect people, you can just keep your mouth shut and go post in other topics. but Probably not, but I did also say that some more than others. In those cases the people who matter ...."

[me=Omega_2]thinks this conversation should have never happened[/me]Random guy dies somewhere in the world, people will be there to mourn, others will be there to try and provide comfort to those that mourn.
When its the online version, these same 'people' see it as another 'useless event' in the follies of mankind; had they been close to, or known about that person IRL, they would mourn somewhat, though by spamming online communities with 'official' obituary-like posts/banners/things.know what? I'd better stop and run off before it picks up again >_>

MessoMessoDon't you mean National Geographic? Well, not that Seconds from Disaster still airs... I loved that show.Ouch for Poland... But at least now, they're going to ban that specific model now, right? Especially after an important political official has been killed?
Yeah thats what I meant,I love them also, but I wouldnt go on a plane.I wouldnt trust Russias electronic equipment .....

It's sad, really. Poland lost so many leaders in just a crash. It's gonna be chaotic in their elections.

Russias problem is that under Communism they spent about 80% of their cash on their Military. So that doesnt leave much cash for stuff like air traffic control equipment-they use outdated stuff.I think that them smaller countries breaking away from the Soviet Union gives Russia less cash.
The only way forward is for Capatalism-thats how so many people come to places like UK or USA-and not much go the opposite way.

Maybe this incident will now teach governments to buy a plane just like air force one.

theres nothing wrong with modern russian equipment. The aircraft in question is SOVIET era. It's ancient and should have been taken out of service years ago.Regardless, its looking like in this particular incident it wasn't the plane at fault, but pilot error for not diverting when advised to by ATC.

Thank you for your help in this topic Seph, it really saddens me how disrespectful people can be... Most of you know absolutely nothing about Poland and it's deceased president, but you still keep talking nonsense.

Was he a bad leader? You don't know anything, but you dare to question the worth of his life? Also, don't forget 95 other people died in this accident, not counting the president. Many of them were important to our country as well, it's a real crush to our political system... But why would you care...?

I never asked you to help or donate anything. You could at least be quiet if you don't have anything nice to say.Oh, I'd also like to remind some of you, that's not a rant topic, and if you only want to argue, then go away and show off in less serious topics. Seriously.

Yes, it was pilot's fault. I don't want to condemn him for that though.

lolwut? Communism, as a mode of government, is not defined by how its spends its money. Are democracy, socialism, republics, or fascism? Normally, no. Communism is people working for the good of the whole rather than the individual. If they spend the money on frivolous shit (such as the US and its military), it's a fault of the government implementation, not the style itself. Try to understand what you're talking about before you go dropping it like a buzzword. That said, I'm of the opinion that each life is equal in value. On the bright side of things, the political landscape in Poland's gonna get a refresh. It may lead to some good things for them. Who knows? I don't follow world news, or its politics.

Actually, there's a chance to improve Poland's relationship with Russia after this happened. They behaved very respectful and helped us a lot, many people were surprised by their reaction. Putin himself led the investigation on the crashsite. Also, Russia and Ukraine declared April 12 a day of mourning for victims of the crash.
