I'll stick with the GBA version of the game.
The other major difference you all forgot is the script. Bartz is named Butz, Lenna is named Reina, and the word "YES" in all caps at the top of the screen when your win a battle.

Ah...my all time favorite Final Fantasy. It was the first one to incorporate such a well done job system, the story was great, the cast very likeable, and the music solid as usual. VII used to be my favorite, but once I got a hold of anthologies for the first time, I just couldn't keep VII at the top anymore.
