This was when Ball bound skeletons were first introduced into gaming animation because the "new" smooth blending in "layers" they can bind each limb or "bone" simultaneously without little effort which is why dead or alive's character bodies look like they are connect like dolls, mainly legs and arms. This isn't a problem for most but for game developers like me I have made many embarrassing mistakes when doing gaming animation with old software and tools and it's a lot more noticeable for me. But enough lecturing this is a fast and easy learning game.
