For supercard users : the japan version of Fire Emblem DS had exactly the same problem, but supercard fixed it with a new firmware version. It seems that this update don't work on the E version so we just have to wait for an update of supercard's firmware. Just go on http://eng.supercard.cn/download.htm choose your type of supercard then you will see the firmware download link. For the moment you just have to wait (not yet available) :o)

@milokp Did you trim the rom? If so that could cause a problem but it usually doesn't

I'm experiencing the same issue as linkkie3, on a supercard lite. When the battle sequence should start, it goes into a loop. I've tried many combinations of options to convert the rom, but nothing has worked. Any insights? Any supercard users NOT having this problem?
