Played this, nintendo has ruined a great commadore 64 game.
this version is ok. but its nothing compared to the original giana sisters.
I still own a c64 and still have gianna sisters.
there is a cheat to skip levels, i think its ZFNL or somethin, but thats c64. lol
This is actually a really fun game.
I was skeptical of the "Better than mario" comments, but now I see where they were coming from. It's a fun little game.
Definitely worth the time to download, and definitely worth the time to play.
I was kinda hesitant about downloading this one, but when I did and played, it kinda grew on me.
Not the same thing as Giana's Return, the homebrew remake of the C64 game. This one has it's similarities to The Great Giana Sisters, but enough of a change to feel almost like it's own game.

I used to have it on my C64, and loved it. was soooo excited to see it here, but when i downloaded it it wont work on my supercard. can anyone help me, am i doing something wrong. I'm upset that i can't relive the memories.... :(

Serioulsy, this game needs more attention. I'd never even heard of the Giana Sisters before yesterday...and I'm glad I know now.
This is the best, most challenging (but not frustrating) platformer I've played since Super Mario Bros 3. There are tons of similarities to SMB, but this isn't a problem for me, since SMB games tend to be near perfection.
Giana Sisters is better than New Super Mario Bros.

Awesme Giana sisters ruled back in da days of the legendary (and still the best 8bitter c64) and amiga was pretty decent too! :)

Its a remake of the Original "Great Giana Sisters" for the Comodore Amiga and C64. Rather infamous for being pulled off the shelves when the company was threatened with legal action from Nintendo (for reasons TirithRR mentioned). WHile the game is simple, it's very fun. THe graphics are colorful and detailed, and the music is AWESOME. Sporting remixes of the original C64 SID songs (with a bit of SID chip effects added in as well!) Most people will find it a bit easy, but it's great to just pick up and play.
