Awesome game!
You guys saying things like: "It's too easy" or "Not so many classes" or "I was expecting more out of this"... when it's a RE-MAKE of the ORIGINAL game (as in the VERY FIRST), are complete retards. Wth? Did you want them to add in more characters and make it into a whole different story? Get a god damn brain. Of course it's gonna be more primitive, IT WAS RELEASED LIKE 20 YEARS AGO. Grow up. Edit: Just read a few more comments, I think I've seen enough. Anyone who looks down on this because it doesn't have features in the other "NEWER" games shouldn't complain. Instead you should just sit down, play it, and sthu.
these comments are starting to piss me off with them saying "OMG the ORIGINAL one with Lyn
I love this game alot.. the story is neat and.. well.. its the first Fire Emblem ever made!! you gotta have respect for the classics in order to be a true gamer!! anyway.. im finding it stupid that people commenting are all acting like this is not the first in the series.. but it IS! on an epicness scale of 1 to 10... I give it a 12 out of 10! :D
After beating this awesome game, now I wish they will remake Book 2 of Marth's story. On the DS or Wii. Now on the Wii would be awesome! Love Radiant Dawn. This game is a very good title on the DS system, being a little more hardcore than casual. Nintendo's great role-playing game is Fire Emblem, and Shadow Dragon is one of Nintendo's best RPG titles on the DS.
I have to express the fact that I really wish there were support conversations. Being a Fire Emblem fanatic, I liked how in the earlier Fire Emblem games you can more about the characters through support conversions. However, the first Fire Emblem game didn't have support conversations, and since this game is a remake of that, I guess that the support conversation feature was excluded. Anyways, totally awesome game. Little easy, but great cast of characters:Marth, Caeda(Sheeda), Ogma, etc. Oh yeah: 9.2 out of 10
According to my Fire Emblem Crazy Friend, this is the remake of the very first Fire Emblem gave. Oddly enough they made a remake of this before, with better storylines and such but this remake is a remake of the original and not the first remake. Still following me? Also when they translated the Japanese version of this game to English, they got rid of hard, turned normal into hard, turned easy into normal, and made a new extra easy mode for the Americans. Then when they made this remake, they made it even easier! So for ANY challenge, I recommend choosing the hard difficulty.
=( the game doesnt even work.Been trying to download it for a long time. I think my R4 might be broken
its easy but it is fun!
This is a not really a big leap for the Fire Emblem series, because this game doesn't have new characters and a new storyline. That's right. This DS exclusive title is a remake of the first Fire Emblem originally on the NES. The story is not as in depth as other Fire Emblem. You play as Prince Marth who lost his homeland of Altea and is fighting to free his continent of Archanea(may have spelled it wrong). That's basically it. In this game you've got characters like Marth(of course), Caeda(Marth's soon to be girlfriend), Merric(his friend), and Elice(Marth's sister). If an ally dies on the battlefield, they are lost forever, so don't be stupid and send your level 20 dracoknight to a bunch of enemy archers. There is one way to bring an ally back, but I will not tell you how. This game mixes together both 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional animations, which I thought was pretty neat. There is a new feature in this game called class swap. You can change the class of your units, except Marth. For example, you can change your Pegasus Knight to an archer. I never use class swap, but I know people who do. There is a support system in this game. At first I didn't believe it but I tried it out. By putting Caeda next to Marth, Marth got a support bonus. However, this game does not have any support conversations. I have on big complaint about this game. After you recruit an ally, they are probably not going to speak for the rest of the game. That's way a support conversation system is needed. The music in this game is very good, one of the best in any DS title. Another big feature is multiplayer and online play. You can only use five units from one of your save files. This isn't that big of a deal people. This game is one of the few games to support online voice chat, which is pretty cool. Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon may disappoint some of the so called Fire Emblem veterans, but this is a great game for beginners who are new to the series. I showed this game to my friends, and they got onto Fire Emblem pretty quickly. Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon is another great game in the series and a must have title on your DS.
this is a really great game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! p.s i always get very very sad when one off my men die for some odd reason?!
I know I'm in love with the Class Swap feature.
