Zelda - Spirit of Tracks: no train's gear lever nor whistle

Hi,
Don't know but on my Zelda game I don't have the train's control lever neither the whistle and I'm stack then. Is there any tricks to get it or is it supposed to be automatic and then there's a bug in my game? :'(
