Will this screen work correctly?

I want to use a second screen on a laptop.Not permanently, but just so that I can use it on both of my (died) desktop and on this leptop.Laptop model:
ACER Aspire 9303WSMi
Graphics:
NVidea GeForce Go 7600
Screen:
Sigma TFT 1701M
Anything else need to be listed here?

It's only for handy things, like I can clear up my desktop by placing some windows on the other screen.Do I need to just reboot the computer to use the second screen, or do I need to install something?
