will there be a gradius game for the ps3?

really will there?! dose anyone have any thoughts, comments, predictions?

Gradius VI was supposed to be in the works not much info around about it other than general info, no release dates and from what I can tell this it is old news as it was announced in '07 so seeing its '09 I guess it was cancelled. Might turn it into some downloadable game from PSN so who knows whats going on with the series.
