Ever had one of those days where nothing went right? Even to the point where you felt like taking a baseball bat to everything in a 50 mile radius? Well Jack has..The objective of "Stop Stress: A Day of Fury" is exactly that. Grab a slipper, baseball bat or whatever and start beating the ever loving crap out of it to reduce Jack's stress. The game consist of 4 episodes that follow Jack throughout his stressful day. Starting at his home, working his way through an nightmare of a traffic jam,to his day job, then finally to an airport. All the while fighting off killer spiders, cockroaches and disgruntled meter-maids.[CONTROLS]The controls are simple and work well. Use the "Wii nunchuk" analog stick to look around and the "Wiimote" D-pad to move around. + button pauses the game while the - button switches between weapons (once you acquire two or more). While swinging the "Wiimote" vertically/horizontally swings the on-screen weapon the same way.
SCORE: 6/10[GRAPHICS]
The graphics (while look a bit dated) are decent for the most part. The in-between episode cut-scenes are done in a comic book-esk hand drawn style. Nothing amazing here but not all that bad for a Wiiware game. I've seen better but I've also seen much worse. SCORE: 5/10
[AUDIO]There is nothing amazing in the audio/sound effects department as well. The music is not all that memorable and the sound effects consist of stock sounds that could be found for free on the internet. SCORE: 3/10[GAMEPLAY]
Gameplay wise,it's not all that great. Each stage gives you an objective (Like destroy 6 alarm clocks) and a time limit you have to complete it in. Then afterwords you fight a boss character. Throughout the stages you move on a fixed path. While getting stopped every few seconds to fight flies, cockroaches or spiders. Once you engage the enemies, you're forced to fight. You can't walk simply around them. This is particularly annoying when you have (like I mentioned before) a time limit. They also respawn..a lot. SCORE: 7/10[Lasting Appeal]
There is no unlockable characters nor stages. Once you've completed all four of the game's chapters, that's it. While the time limit and how much damage the enemies do varies depending on which difficulty you choose, you still play through the same levels and get the same ending. It's fun to play-through once to maybe get a few chuckles in,but nothing that warrants a second play-through or the 10$ price tag. SCORE: 2/10Overall Score : 23/50
