Why do people these days LOVE shooting games!!! (no offense though)

sheepdragonI've been playing Doom since '95, and regard Doom 2 as the best game ever made, because of all the custom content. So FPS is obviously one of my favorite game genres, along side RTS, RPG and Platformers.

hmm.... wow doom huh? ok :P

I personally play both FPS and RPG for different reasons. RPG is when I want to relax and enjoy a game for the storyline, gameplay etc. I play FPS when I'm feeling a bit competitive and want to put my "skills" into play. I typically play CS 1.6 scrimming with friends for a little competitive FPS. I play hundreds of different RPG :P. So basically my opinion of it is RPG is more relaxing and FPS is more competitive(at least when you play online).

People have different taste, you know. Like yourself, you disagree about RPG being relaxing but/and AzN1NoOdLez thinks it's relaxing.
