Why did you get a PS3 and not a different console?

I don't have one but I had to tick the Why did you get a PS3? option :P

grand theft auto, nuff said. seriously, i had a 360 but it killed 2 discs.
1st time because i moved it, 2nd for no apparent reason and this would be forza 2.
after getting a new GTAIV disc, it made so much fucking noise when i played the game that i thought it was about to break...
after returning the 360, I thought, "wow, maybe i should try using the dualshock controller again..."
got a ps3, played it, enjoyed it.That, and it's pretty damn awesome.

I chose "other" mainly because I'm a total nerd.
I wanted a complete set :) (Meaning all consoles like PS1, wii, Xbox, etc...)

You didn't list "blue ray player for family"The games are because they are ones I've been eyeing off :P

I bought one for no other reason than to have one. The exclusives are really good but I could've lived without them.It was worth the purchase, but I'd live without it.

I did.I got a laptop that does them fine, just for the family so they don't crowd around a 21ich screen XD

One, to say that I got it at launch day, two, to play some games, three, because I got the PS2 during the previous console "war" and PS2 ended up "winning" (that's debateable, though) and four, because it has blu-ray.

Because it way better than 360.

Same as Natewlie, got my original 60GB two weeks after release. Then I bought and XBOX a year later, but it got the RROD, so I'm sticking with the best (SONY).
