Before windows 7 came out, windows XP would be your choice. Windows Vista is crap don't even think about using it. But the thing about windows 7 is that it has XP performance with vista security, which makes it so good. If i were you, i would switch over to 7.

Windows XP if you don't have good computer specs.
Other than that, if you have a good computer, I don't see why people stick with XP... or Vista in that matter.

Vista is the best.
7 crashes too much, and XP is outdated.

7 is far more stable than vista.

Windows XP due to my Desktop being older and being more compatible with all of my programs.7 for my netbook since it is faster than my desktop.

Windows 7 for me. It is fast, works great, and I love it.XP is a good secondary if you can't use or afford 7. Vista just blows. It made Windows 7 easier to install, but that is about it.

XP works better with older programs like DOSbox and older emulators, but 7 has much better security. Don't use Vista, if you do you will make your computer cry.

7 is the best, its much more user friendly, its as fast as xp, and supports programs from other windows. Worst is Vista, too slow, its buggy, not user friendly, and does not support programs that are not for vista

to me it just depends on what you're are doing with your computer..XP +good for pc gaming support if you dont want to go through a bunch of shit to play.
+ DOS support for older gamesVista + if you watch movies
+ DirectX 10 support(which is better for emulation in my opinion)7+ DirectX11 support
+ its supposed to be XP but better :D

Windows 7 is awesome. It can do everything Vista couldnt (which was pretty much nothing).

I thought I would like 7, until it wouldn't let any other PC in my house connect to the wireless internet...now I really prefer XP overall

I'm liking 7 so far as I haven't ran into any issues *knocks on wood* like I did with Vista with shit not running or crashing if you look at it the wrong way.

it wouldn't affect the router in any way, the wireless signal for every PC in my house shut down (including the PC with windows7) as soon as the Windows 7 PC would boot up
