Which graphics program do you use?

you could use gimp, you can save as animated give and watch what you get while creating one.
i don't know if it's possible whit photoshop.

i first started with Photoshop 7 and have gone along for the upgrade ride up till the current CS4

Paint. Everything I make is done in MS Paint.

ZebOn the Mac I use CS3 and on the PC I use a combination of Open Canvas and CS.

I use CS4 Photoshop and Illustrator.

I use mostly Paint.NET, sometimes Photoshop but i'm not really used to it.
