cyclopsds.com20.12.2010Owing to shortages of one component used in manufacturing the iEVO cartridge, manufacturing has been delayed by about a month, meaning that shipments of the product will first be shipped second week January. We apologize to resellers and customers alike, however this is beyond our control.Due to an internal miscommunication, we initially erroneously announced that our product in relation to DSi mode homebrew supported access to the DSi internal SD slot. We quickly amended the news post on our website after the posting, to clarify the features list. Regardless, access to the CycloDS iEVO MicroSD slot is obviously available to homebrew software. In respect of DSi-enhanced ROM support which we promised for future release. Our team has been working hard to implement this feature to reward our loyal customers for their patience and support. We hope to please our users by announcing that BETA support is now in place for properly dumped DSi-enhanced ROM’s and this will be available ON RELEASE of the iEVO (for USA and European consoles). We will continue to improve and support DSi-enhanced ROM’s in the future and of course DSi mode support will be enabled in future iEVO firmwares for remaining regions of DSi consoles. We have seen mention of DSiWare ROM support. We are currently investigating this and hope to be able to support this feature in the future. We hope that in future, review sites will seek clarification from us before posting unconfirmed news, to avoid confusion and to help protect the reputation of their site. Samples for review and homebrew developers are now being assembled and we will ship before general release to the public!
it basically says there will only be dsi mode for homebrews. and will support sd slot for homebrews. the only good thing i see is the use of camera and that stuff in dsi enhanced games. but i dont think that is worth the 50 dollars

I have both a class 2 and a class 4 sandisk. HUGE DIFFERENCE. Loading times are faster, saving is faster, portrait of ruin no longer freezes on the class 4. Frame rates on games like Rune Factory 3 are higher. Pokemon soulsilver runs SOOOO much faster on the class 4 it's not even funny, in battle as well as faster smoother menu browsing.Do NOT get a class 2 card.

There are too many flash card in the market currently. I think you can try r4i sdhc 3ds for trial. It is made by r4i-sdhc.com. New r4i sdhc 3ds card support Nintendo 3DS, DSi, and DS conosle.

Yes, there are too many different flashcarts in the market, and you promoting one of the the endless R4 fakes is NOT helping anything.

Classes are just a way of ranking the cards according to write speed. Higher class is faster. Capacity has no relevance to class.

I Have no idea what you just said : l
From what i know is what the first post says
ryanflucas4.) Do speed classes matter? I'm seeing 16GB MicroSD cards really cheap, but they are class 2. Should I downgrade to an 8GB card and go for a higher speed class?
So if sixteen GB is class two then thirty-two GB must be class and the class goes higher as the GB go lower but thats probably not right. Oh is that each GB card can have its own range of class like one two GB might have a class one and another two GB might have class three?

class and size are completely independent of each other.

Ah i see your clever. So what are they referring to when they say class? If its speed then why is some saying otherwise? Sorry I realise i'm dang annoying

Class refers to the minimum write speed of the card. A higher class will write data to the card faster. Below is a quote:
As a characteristic of flash memory, actual transfer speed varies. Variable speeds are difficult to reliably record streaming content such as video because it requires a constant writing speed. Speed Class and UHS Speed Class provide the constant speed necessary for video recording by designating a minimum writing performance so that minimum and constant speed is guaranteed for camcorders, video recorders and other devices with video recording capabilities under the conditional write operation specified in the specification.Speed Class, designated as Class 2, 4, 6 and 10, is designed for normal and high speed bus interface (mode) and UHS Speed Class 1 is designed for UHS bus interface*. (Speed Class and the UHS Speed Class are not compatible.)

SuerCard DSTwo is the best..... But if you only need a simply card and dont need the extra features like special homebrews, gba emulation, RTS/RTG, etc, the ak2i or r4i Gold 3ds should suffice. I purchased my acekard 2i my from oz3ds, which works fine and enough for me....
