What was your most emotional moment in a game?
C
My fav was in kh1, the moment when sora defends kairi against the posessed Riku.
And of course in ff7, when cloud's girlfriend dies... :(

I do not become emotionally involved in games. For me, I believe that games are meant to be fun and interactive, not to be taken personally or become emotionally attached to the characters. As in, if someone starts to feel a connection between a fictional game character and real life, an unhealthy obsession will occur and lead to problems in the players future personal life.

Maybe you haven't played a game with decent writing yet. XD
I was like seven when I played FFVII. I shed a tear for Cait Sith.

At the end of MGS 3 after the fight with The Boss.
Also at the final scene of the same game, when Snake visit The Boss's grave.

Well I would have to say Final Fantasy X. Right at the end when Tidus dies. Along with the deep orchestral soundtrack and confessions of love, I'm sure many of you would agree that this is a very very emotional ending. If you have no clue what I'm talking about, get the game, play till the end and you will see what I am talking about. Definately worth it.

When Aeris dies I got emotional, the over riding one was arousal. It made me hot.

Well I loved the way Big Boss sayed a final goodbye to the boss at her grave at the end of Metal Gear Solid 3. that moment went my hairs spike all over my body!

I think FFX's ending has to be the win it's just a fantastic scene.

The opera scene, when Celes tries to kill her self...Actually FF6 has some more that I can't recall right now.The part in Okage where you find out Marlene is a doll.Legend of Mana has a lot of sad moments. When the one teacher at Geo finds out his brother is a monster and you have to kill it, a lot of scenes in the Jumi Arc, a lot of scenes in the Heavens Gate Arc, hmm...Well I guess some in the Dragoon arc could be sad but I still stand by my opinion that the game feels sorta unfinished no matter how epic it is. There's also individual side quests that have sad parts. The one part in Tales of Eternia/Destiny II where Reid is doing that trial and he has to see through the eyes of other people and when it explains their past. The part where he's the eggbear they killed(in the past)and he comes across the dead baby bears is pretty sad.Terranigma's ending was pretty sad.Breath of Fire series has some, but it's been so long since I've played. I know Dragon Quarter had a bunch, especially the part where you thought Ryu died.Alundra has...More then one, especially considering no matter what you do nearly everybody dies so...Chrono's death in Chrono Trigger was pretty sad. Back in the day first playing it on the SNES. That was the only time I can recall that the main character died and you weren't forced to find a way to save or bring him back to life, you can, however you can end the game without doing so.Oh and the obligatory when Aerith died in FF7, the sad Rinoa parts in FF8, FF9 had a bunch. Like Freya meeting Frately, Vivi's existence, finding out about Zidane, thinking Zidane and Kuja died etc. Most FF games have at least one sad moment anyways. That's all I can think of at the moment.

Do you cry at movies? Do they make you laugh? If you are going to even bother with the story at all then let it touch you a little bit. But just don't become on of those people who are like "MAI WAIFU IS THIS VIDEOGAME FEMALE" as then you are getting attached to the game. Getting attached and getting involved are two different things.
Anyways the most emotional moments were definately in the phoenix wright series. And all throughout mother 3.

I had my most emotional moments while playing infinite space, mostly on the 2nd half. the 1st half had its moments, but Yuri The Man was obviously more on the mature and emotional side of space opera.

I slightly agree, and i never get emotional in any games(and yes, i've played MGS, chrono trigger and most of the FF's)... with only one exception... FF8... man, the moment in the basketball court was the start of it... then every scene with Rinoa and Squall after she passed out, after that was that moment in space where even i shed a tear, and finally the promise in Matron's house.
FF8 ruined my "never get emotional with games" streak...
