What genre is pacman... ?

i need to know. i never thought about till now since it was part of my exam question... i put maze/arcade genre.
this question eludes me so as i have no assurance of my answer...

I would consider it "Maze" good question regardless.

arcade.

Eating

Arcade would fit as well also wiki calls the genre maze. so call it both!

I prefer to call it arcade.
Munch Munch

role-playing, "TPE" (third person eater), survival horror (since there's ghosts ):Darcade seems to be the winner though :P

MadmanNero · #5Arcade would fit as well also wiki calls the genre maze. so call it both!

i did, and that is why i put a / in between maze and arcade.

Its considered DEO ( Dot Eating Orange ) :Pyeah its more of a maze kind of game... but it was on arcades.... its considered.....
MADES :D ma from maze and des from arcades, Tah Dah!

But doesn't it matter which pacman it is? Theres the original Arcade pacman and the new Pacman like on the DS.
I would consider the older ones arcade.

pacman is so epic, no genre can possibly be associated with it

I thought so.Truly unique.

I'd have to say an Arcade game. It's not a dungeon crawler for sure. :P

It's considered "Hallucinogen/Simulation/Horror/Hunger/Circleguy".

It's clearly a survival horror. You are alone in a dark maze, there is no way out, and there are killer ghosts after you. It should be made into a movie.

haha awesome thread. arcade for sure.

RETRO!!
