What am I doing wrong?

mmartinsI'm sorry but I'm not technically savy :-) what is firmware? I downloaded the "kernel" at www.r4i-sdhc.com. The R4 card I have is R4I SDHC upgrade and the "Kingston (Brand)" Micro SD card 8gb.Does that help you at all?I downloaded Moonshell and Winrar and the kernel as I mentioned. Do I need anything else?I tried 2 different games to see if that was the problem.

You need to install winrar in order to unpack the kernal and files from it's rar arciveSame with the games

i know, i haven't used an R4 SDHC before either,using R4's is like walking through a minefield,try the 1st option

I have Winrar, it was the first thing I downloaded.ok, I will try the first option. Thanks so much for all of the help. I'll keep you posted!!

jhon may have a point though,did you extract the .nds file from the rar with winrar?

It seams that way to me in his first post...That he has put the files onto his R4 SDHC card without unpacking it from the rar arcive firstInstall your winrar program, and your downloaded file's will look diffrent, You dubble click on it to see what's inside the rar

mmartinsI hope someone can help me. I believe I've done everything correctly in order to download DS games but when I put my R4 (SDHC) card in my DS it tells me there is an error.I followed the step by step instructions on youtube that was posted in "Tutorials" by someone but still nothing!!!Please help!!!

if a tutorial was followed, i would assume winrar extraction was also explained
