Volume Control cant be mute....

well the problem started yesterday where my muted computer start to unmute it self automatically.i cant figure it out whats wrong.edit: i'm using window xp pro.

Have you run a virus/spyware scan?Try checking this one.

I've got a similiar problem, but mine involves the sound automatically going higher or lower, sometimes mute because I just leave it at one as I'm using earplugs.
