Vista's "Updates"

I know there is already a Vista rant thread, but its not about this topic.It seems that whenever I'm not on my laptop for only like 4 minutes it restarts to do some "Critical" update.
And when I'm using it I get this pop-up every four-six minutes telling me that "My Computer is at Risk" because I haven't updated it, even though I just did yesterday.Has nay one noticed this or is this just what I get for not wanting to pay an extra 90 bucks to have Vista installed on my Laptop?

I have the same... Just ignore it. It can be really irritating when playing full-screen, but ignore it.Later at the time you get a message when starting up, before your personal settings are loaded, ignore it too, and choose for the "don't update" message (if I'm right), it will be available after 3 secs.

I have this problem with my mom's laptop.I spent 1 hour updating it and as I restart it, moreupdates flood the PC! I'm like, WTF? As I look at the list, some updates dated back in July! And they say that there is a problem with the update. So is my moms laptop (11 months old) updated or not? Anoying stupid Vista!

I have this problem it is SERIOUSLY PISSING ME OFF =@This Vista security shit can go die, it won't stop coming up.... I'm plagued by this SHIT!

I'm using XP.
I think I get 7 if this is getting above my head...
