virus roms?

hi,i was just wondering if there was any way that i could tell if one of the roms i have downloaded, from another site, is a virus.the reason i am wondering is because i cant seem to find the rom anywhere else, which makes me think that it shouldnt be avaliable yet..the rom i am talking about is petz fantasythanks for your help! :)

Petz Fantasy has been released. It's a DSi Enhanced game.
