video's for psp

how do i run video's for psp? it always says ''unsupported data''.-i am running custom firmware 5.50 GEN (full)-the file is .AVI

I think PSP runs avi files.Though I'm not sure on that.It runs MP4 I know for sure. You can use PSPlayer to play A LOT of video types. - http://dl.qj.net/psp/homebrew-applications/psplayer-20.html

PSPs only run .mp4.... Your gonna nead to convert your .avi to make them play on the PSPs....

With youtube downloader. One of the best video encoders that I have used.
Everything else just doesn't seem to work as well.

This is the one my friend uses....http://www.pspvideo9.com/

You can always just google Free AVI to MP4 converter..and I use that one..the actual name is "Free AVI to MP4 converter" xD

thank you guy's so much for helping! a mod can lock this.

Use a program called Format Factory, it converts all kinds of file formats. If you want the video to be the size of the whole PSP screen, set the converter to convert to mp4. Then change the video size to 480x272 with the video codec set to AVC (not sure these are the correct letters) and enjoy. Works great for me so far.
