Video Editors - Please help me!!

Hey,I'm looking for some software that will allow me to trim the sides off some video footage. What software is recommend for this? Preferably free ones!

virtualdub

If you only want what you wrote here: SUPER
If you want to edit the videos simply: Windows Movie Maker
If you want to edit the videos professional: Sony Vegas (only free if you know the right sites ;))

windows movie maker is crap, virtualdub does a much better job.

If you can't get Sony Vegas, go with Virtualdub.

ta guys

I can't seem to get Virtualdub to trim the edges of the videos- can anyone point me in the right direction? I have version 1.9.4

I used version 1.9.5.* Go to Video -> Filters on menu bar
* Click Add
* Select "null transform" and click OK
* Select the filter that you added, and click on "Cropping".Now, you can crop edges off your video.

Thanks dude. I've completed my video now!
