my computer keeps freezing when I connect a flash drive. I kept waiting for it but it wont unfreeze.It says that my USB port supplies 500mA

Maybe your computer is old, or maybe there's a virus somewhere.

That is a curious problem. I doubt it's a virus.maybe install latest motherboard drivers
