For some reason i cannot update the DB avast! tells me that the last time it tried to update was not suceful so i clic update now, it starts to dl the files when suddendly the program shuts off the download, any clues? fire wall is not acting that i am sure off.

I'll try but i find very weird i cannot run the online update, it could be because i am running an 8.x.xxxx version of the AV while the latest version of the program is 9.x.xxxx
I was able to sucefully update the AV DB using the installer program.
Problem fixed, thanks loony, oddly using that update package allowed my PC to update correctly.

Ok the problem is back and i cannot update to rev 9 because at the 15 s the connection is shut down, idk if it's my firewall.
