UGH! SHIT!
D
:'( DAMN! My Toshiba Satellite (Model A135-S2386) keeps randomly going into hibernate and the screen keeps flashing!!!!! No idea what the problem is, but I need some help, big time. I've checked the whole Toshiba knowledge base for anything about this, but found nothing. I can't get a new computer right now, so could someone PLEASE HELP me! :-[
J
does it still have warranty??...
L
have you run antivirus and spyware scans?
D
I don't think the warranty is still active, and I've updated Norton to the latest definitions and etc., done 5 scans, but nothing's helping. (no viruses\spyware\trojans have appeared in the virus scan.)
B
Try using a reliable anti-virus program.
L
its entirely possible that it is norton causing the problem...
A
^ lol man does norton get bashed around here! though its possible.i dont know that sounds bad, loose wire or something maybe? sounds like somehting you might have to send it away for
J
try getting avg... it's a very nice and reliable av...
L
After that I would update all your drivers
J
and i would recommend constantly updating your av...
L
check your power options under control panel that may be something, or open your computer and see if anything is not fully connected to the PSU.-LM
J
if you want a reliable virus scanner, go for trend micro pc-cillin or nod32.
A
^ i had more problems with trend than i did with norton! AVG is by far the best
J
thats the one im running at the moment. it came free when i got my pc fixed up, so i thought what the hell, ill keep it. i didnt list it because its only the free version and i dont actually know how good the paid version is.
J
the free version only protects you against viruses, while the paid version gives you full protection (malware, spyware, viruses, etc...) ...
L
free version is good enough, other programs can handle the rest.
J
thats' what i do, avg for virus, and another 4 av's fr the rest... ;D
