Tips & warnings with the R4 SDHC firmware

Hello :)I have discovered a few things with the R4 SDHC firmware.Those are the things:Run a game as Multimedia instead of Moonshell
- Rename the game you want to launch when Multimedia is touched to:
_DS_MSHL.nds
Like this:

Make sure the file is in the rootCreate Skins
Just change the images in one of the skin folders and resize it to:
256x192Warnings:
Do NOT change any file of these:

(DS_PATCH.nds is optional, but it is handy)If I find out anything else I will update this.

This should be pretty helpful so thanks.But I am wondering about running a game as a multimedia.....does it do anything special?

I expect that it will probably not load as I doubt that the R4 will patch it. Any homebrew should work though

No, just change the game's name and your R4 SDHC will load it.

The R4 SDHC searches for a file called _DS_MSHL.nds and runs it.
No patching, no other things... just runs the file. No matter what the file is.I have YSmenu as my "multimedia app". So I have instant access to it.EDIT: Modified the topic. Read the _DS_MSHL.nds trick again.

Oh I get it...that's a pretty nifty trick, but you can't really select other games, correct?

You only can set up 1 game for Multimedia. Otherwise it won't work.
