The Sorcerers Apprentice AP? Not sure

Hey guys I can't seem to get past the first level of the game because when I go to learn my first new power no matter what it says I'm out of time. (It gives you a time limit to do this mini-game to learn a new power) I'm assuming this is AP, I don't know for sure though. I'm using and Acekard2i with 1.7.1. Anybody else having this problem?

You may just be bad at this game. Otherwise, wait for someone to reply.

lol no i did the mini-game in like 3 seconds and it still said I ran out so I'm assuming AP

From what I understand, there are two distinct things that the AP does......mini-game time-outs and the inability to pick up medkits.I don't have either of those issues on my CycloDS though.
