Littlekill don't get me wrong i loved FFVII but as far as the greatest game ever as some claims i'm not agreed... that's my point. the game is really great but not the best ever...

Halo has to be the second most overrated.

I cannot understand for the life of me why Halo is so popular, its such a bland first person shooter.

Agreed on FF VII but I don't know Halo.
I would also say : FF VIII, FF X, Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts 2, Zelda Ocarina of time, Castlevania Symphony of the night, Star Ocean 3, Suikoden 1.WARNING: I'm not saying I don't like those games. Actually I really liked most of them but the "adoration" they get is a little too much for me.

i agree, FF7 is the most overrated game of all time. It;s just not what FF7 fanboys make it up to be.Its good, yeah. But the best RPG of all time? I don't think so.

Agreed from start to finish.Chrono Cross is better and gets higher review score from metacritic.That shows that FF7 is overrated by its' fanboys.

i actually think Chrono Cross is overrated too actually, but mainly because it somewhat failed to match the success of Chrono Trigger, which is really tough to do.Oh yeah, i didnt like how the game had 100+ characters, most of them had no storyline whatsoever. I like having lots of characters, don't get me wrong, but if that's the thing, I'd like all of them to have a significant link to the main story and not just be there for the kawaii-ness or something.
