IGN.com | Game GuidesSuper Scribblenauts is an upcoming emergent action puzzle game in development by 5th Cell and to be published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for the Nintendo DS handheld game console. It is the sequel to the Nintendo DS game Scribblenauts.
Gameplay:
Super Scribblenauts is a side-scrolling action-oriented puzzle game that requires players to collect objects called "Starites" by inputting certain words, such as "ladder" or "fire", in order to collect these objects. While in the original Scribblenauts players could not use adjectives in their words — for example, they could not summon a "flaming bear" — one of Super Scribblenauts's new features is the ability to add characteristics to objects, such as a "spiked refrigerator". Players control the main character, Maxwell, using either the touch screen or the Nintendo DS's buttons. It also includes a hint system as well as a level editor.5th Cell revealed they would improve the physics from the previous Scribblenauts, and fix the controls, as many have complained about the game's incredibly imprecise touchscreen movement system. A better level editor was also told to be implemented for the sequel, which will allow the player to make levels from scratch and to make puzzle levels, as well as make action levels like in the first game. The company is planning to release the game on October 12th 2010.
... and, available for download as soon it has been
dumped.

Re: Super Scribblenauts (U) | October 12th, 2010Hopefully this will available soon, didn't people get early copies of it this morning at some pre-launch party?

Apparently yes.
Though who knows if that means it'll be dumped early or not.
I am personally very, very excited for this one. I played it at E3 so I can definitely attest to the fact that it is awesome and they fixed everything that was wrong with the first one (namely the touch controls). Hope this gets posted soooooooon...... ;D ;D ;D
"Gentlemanly Robotic Hydra" ftw!! 8)

Re: Super Scribblenauts (U) | October 12th, 2010Will this be better than the first one?

This will basically be what the first one should have been: D-pad controls, adjectives, larger vocabulary, better level design, etc. So, in short... yes.

Re: Super Scribblenauts (U) | October 12th, 2010Are adjectives only limited to one word per noun?
E.g:
Big Plane
Big red plane.

You can attach several adjectives to a noun.
E.g:
Gigantic flaming plaid octopus
I think you're limited by the number of characters/letters you can input, rather than the amount of words.

If every sequel gets better and better than the previous title, then this isn't such a bad idea.
