Sisters are jerks

First off, one of my sisters doesn't exactly think the highest of me; I can anger her if I somehow breathe the wrong way. Well, I've been downloading a crapload of .dpg files for my amusement. This obviously took several hours to get all of the most likely 50+ files. Well, she was nagging to go on the computer, and even though we have separate user accounts, I just said to go on mine because I had files compressing. Well, she was on and let them finish compressing. However, the next time I got on, she had deleted ALL of the dpg files I spent hours downloading!! I don't have administrative privelages on the computer, my mom does, even though she no longer uses this computer cuz she has one of her own. Well, my sister told my mom that I was downloading the stuff illegally. Yes, I know, it is, but she's being self-righteous. I know technically it is somewhat legal, but she was downloading videos off youtube for her mp3 player. The thing that makes her self-righteous in that is the fact that some of the videos are actually under copyright, so yeah. She is such a hypocrite against me. Anyways, my mom is now convinced that only the movies I downloaded were illegal, not my sister's as well. So, she won't let me use uneraser to get them back unless I show that they're legal. Idk how to hack her account, so that's useless. Will I just need to spend those many more hours re-downloading and re-compressing with a non-administrative account?

Oh well.I spent hours on stuff and I burn them to disk. I don't let them sit on my HDD too long.

I'm thankful I got my own laptop rather than share with my brother.I like your sister, she'll teach you to compress unnecessarily.
Get an external harddrive, and don't bother compressing, never trust other's on your log ins, and quit your bitching.

I have a sister, but we get along just fine well except when Aunt Poe comes around then all hell breaks loose. And what the heck is a .dpg, is it Dulwich Picture Gallery in London or something??

Haha that prank would hysterical to do, but I don't have administrative privileges, and I know right off the bat that I'd need those to edit her account and "borrow" her files.
Is there really such a thing as over-compression? I was compressing so much cuz the laptop's harddrive was a few gigs from being full, and external hard drives are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy to expensive. Sadly, my mom doubts that I would even be able to store files on the ancient MAC. I know she's wrong, it's programs that get all wacky, and I don't think we have any cd's I could use to move files between the computers.
Unfortunately, my mom said it'll probably be almost 5 years until she actually appreciates me. :( However, Imma see if I can get my own laptop for graduation this June!! I'd of course have to hope it gets wireless internet, and my parents won't mind.

You should snap nekkid pics of her when she sleeps and have "your sister" post them on romulation.

I'd recommend getting an EPcee. One of them 2 pounders that take too much space. And also you could try saving your stuff on a flashdrive.
