Show new replies to your posts - question

I like the forum feature "Show new replies to your posts" and use it almost every time. However, there are some older threads that I really don't want to continue to watch but they remain in the list. Is there a way I can essentially 'stop watching' a thread? Do they just drop off naturally at some point?Thanks....

deleting threads removes them from the forum entirely. We will not allow users to do that.

I've said it before, but I'm not going to touch SMF code at all, and I think it's unlikely that a mod exists for it.
