screen capturer/video editing software

Try Hypercam, Or Camtasia, however if you want one, and don't mind purchasing or cracking it etc., go for Camtasia. This is for capture. Camtasia also has a video editing suite. Windows Movie Maker sucks ass. You won't really find good free software for those though.

im all ready ripping off nintendo, sony, and others so the only problem i have with cracking/keygens is the risk of Trojans i know some are good and some are bad but i dont know the good ones

Windows Movie Maker can do simple editing jobs, trimming etc., so just use that.

i dont have it with this computer, hey do the admins mind if i user romulation content in a you tube video

That depends on the intended use, and if you use member supplied content such as forum posts then technically you should also ask the affected members.also virtualdub is a free editing program.
