Blegh. I can say that RE4 looked good for a PS2 game, although the PC version was a disgrace.That's cause the game was from console to PC, this kinds of convertions, when done without care result in shit.
GC architeture is very complicated to be converted, since the game was 1st made for it.
You can ask to the guys that make the Dolphin Emulator (GC and Wii in PC). That's a pain in the ass.
I can tell from here that they've learned the lesson when they make the RE5 to PC.
Directx 10 makes effects more better than others versions.

Just google the damn thing, yes these are mods for mouse.
At all, GC has better graphics, but countains more bugs, the PS2 version has come with more extra stuff out there and most of bugs and glitches were corrected in this version (2005 version, cuz 2004 has still more bugs).

But thank God these are someone that know how to program and do the modds for us.
They diserve real respect, they do it for free.
Most of the modds has better accuracy than the original file, such as GTA SA's weapons.
