Loonylioncorrect, their white appearance is a reflection of the ice. Which is where they're brilliant white in their natural environment, but look a dirty colour in a zoo.
And here I was thinking it was because they smoked cigarettes in zoos! ;)

Tell that to your boss if ever you'll have a job in the near future.
Die_With_PieYes, reputations are important. How many people will hire you if you had a real-world reputation as a lazy bum? Your highschool rep may not mean nothing, but in the real world, your rep influences your environment. Granted that some of the qualities of your rep may not be true, it still affects you. Just ask someone accused of rape or pedophilia. Just an accusation, an assumption, influences your world. Your reputation isn't entirely based on you or your actions, and thus, it does not necessarily have to be the real you. It serves more as a representation of you. It gives something for people to base their opinions off of before they meet you.And of course, I am not as good as explaining things as those before me. So if any clarification is needed on my meaning, I'd be happy to, uh, clarify.

why do people be so blind to say its what you think about your self matters.. what people thinks about u is equally and sometimes more important.. if someone thinks you have HIV and they spread rumours around, what will become of you.. will you continue saying, i dont care what people say.. it can have a great inpact on future progressions in your life. like having a job, if the boss thinks you have hiv he will be sceptical about employing you.. so its what he thinks of you matters in that case
