Hello, I'm also having this problem with my r4i pocket card, cant seem to find anywhere to update the software i have version 1.03. all other games have been working but sceane it twilight and sonic wont work, can anyone help me i am going crazy here. ???

What does it say on the box of your R4i card, there should be a web address, where you should be able to get updates...if yours is r4i-sdhc, v1.18b can be found here. This firmware is known to work with S&S-ASR, both US and EUR versions (I have played both myself on a standard NDSL with my r4i-sdhc)

I didn't get a box with it, it was brought over from hk from my father with a dsi. The card is "r4i Pocket" thats all that is writen on it? Iv'e tryed updating it to the 1.18v but didn't work. any ideas????

Ahh, sounds like a clone then....All I can say is that a while back I tried a JAP card in a english NDSL with no joy, a region thing...without a website off the box/card the site I'd suggest is to try some of the firmwares at:http://www.linfoxdomain.com/nintendo/ds/ or http://filetrip.net/c85-Flashcart-Related-Files.htmlSorry, but without a lead as to the source of the card, the best we can do is trial and error....(Normally have to trial and error things with new games these days anyway)

Hi, i dont have a box for it, it came over here from hong kong, a gift from my father for my son. maybe it is a copy, what would be a good card to buy? that woun't have problems with games??

Everyone on here will point you to AceKard, althought I tend to go for genuine r4i-sdhc's (red box r4is work with DSi's), if your in UK a good place to purchase* is : http://www.r4i.co.uk*(I've purchased from these guys before, with my CC, with no problems)

Just FYI thought, you'll find that the newer the game, the more likely you'll have a problem. I regularly advise friends with flashcards when they get stuck or get a game that wont load, and I know from experiance that new games, especially newest games with Anti Piracy, sometimes have problems...Your best stratagy is to chose a card with good support (ie AceKard), this way the card vendor will usually roll out new firmware that patches/fixes regularly that will fix the latest games....

Not the entire problem!Its an AntiPiracy thing, there are updates out ther ans fixes for particular games. browse the forum for the game your after mate :)

Sigh.Error code -4 is not an antipiracy.It's an unsupported save system.If any version of the game exists as DSiWare, it most likely will do this on an R4 or DSTT.Genuine R4 uers can try Wood R4, which supports that save type.DSTT usesr are out of luck for many games, but some have been fixed.

Don't forget Wood R4 for Clones.... Since Clone R4 users can't use regular Wood R4.
