R4 to ysmenu help please

I am following the guide for putting Ysmenu on my R4 located here: https://www.romulation.org/forum/index.php?topic=22731.0I follow all the steps, but the file r4patch.dat is never generated in step 7.
I cannot find any fixes for this past getting an older version of Ysmenu that i cannot find anywhere, any advice?

Umm... Your link is wrong, its to Mario and Luigi RPG 3. NO WONDER YOU ARE GETTING IT WRONG! ;D
Backup and format your card and redownload YSMenu. Redo the setup.

I went with r4ysauto and it seems to be working, thanks.
