R4 Stuck on "Loading"

Hi folksI hope somebody can help me with this, I'm sure somebody has had this problem before but I can't find a fix for it.I have a black R4DS (NDSL/NDS) cart.When I first got it and loaded on kernal v1.18 everything worked fine until I stupidly deleted the firmware files by accident. I have tried reloading the firmware onto it again but my Ds stays stuck on loading, even though my micro card works on other R4s I have.Any suggestions?Gareth

Backup, reformat, and reinstall the firmware. Delete all known firmware files before hand.

take microsd card out and blow the sd slot.

I just restarted my r4 and it worked

ive got the same problem too. i downloaded sim city creator, played it, saved it, then when i switched it back on a few minutes later, it said data saved was corrupted. then i played it all over again, saved, switched it off, and when i switched my DS on then all i got after the word loading is a black screen.

Re-insert R4 and MicroSD

if it was only as simple as a reinsertion...even formatted the microsd, no go.
looks like the problem was with the R4.

i agree. if you cannot fix that problem by blowing into the card, you'll just have to backup your files, format the card, and put the files back on.

ok...i changed my r4 to an r4 deluxe and the only problem is that i could not load some of my old games. the good news was that it was working again and i was just happy to be playing.that is until i intalled "2889 - WWE SmackDown vs Raw 2009 (E)(M5)(XMS)" on to my sd. everything was working fine until i loaded the game and it got stuck. switched the nds off and on again and it was stuck on loading page...again. so i popped the sd card back into my pc to delete the game but the sd card was not detected! grrr....what should i do now?

Blow on the MicroSD. What do you mean you changed your r4? Did you install the correct firmware for your kind of R4? Try using a different reader if nothing else works :)

i changed my r4 cartridge (the hardware) to an r4 deluxe with the latest firmware.and like i already said...I WISH IT WAS AS EASY AS BLOWING ON THE SD CARD OR REINSERTION. if it was, i wouldn't be posting for help here.the reader appears to be fine as well.my sd card is now totally undetected on my pc. all just because i installed that one file.

What type of reader are you using on your computer? A USB MicroSD reader? A USB SD Reader with a SD Adapter for your MicroSD? A built in SD reader (found on many new laptops)?The file alone wouldn't make your computer stop recognizing your reader and SD card.

how many times have you tried blowing it though? (no dirtiness) cause mine does this occasionally (M3 simply) and i jsut blow it a few times and it works, BUT it can be your R4....

Whenever my simply does that I just take out the card, take out the microsd and put it all back together again and it works fine, maybe that will do it for you too hopefully.

I had the same problem...i just kept putting it in the computer till it could read it then i formatted it. then i put all the firmware (from cd) back in. then all the games except the last one.
