R4 has been acquired by M3 team

I can't imagine why they'd want it unless it's to sue the hell out of all those other manufacturers who stole the name.

It does seem like a very odd move considering that R4's reputation has been tarnished for quite a while. It makes even less sense as M3 have only receintly announced a new card of their own, the M3i Zero. When I first saw this news I thought it was a hoax but http://gamezway.com/ has the new cards in stock.

No, it would seem that the R4 and M3 teams have been working together for a while, these are new cards. I think this is an attempt to draw a line under the fakes and start pumping out real R4's with firmware upgrade support. The question is, do you trust M3 to regularly update?

Better off with getting a Cyclo or keep an old orginal R4 and equip it with YSMenu

I agree cjdogger, acekard 2 is also a good option. But, am I right in thinking that this new R4iRTS card is the only DSi card that can do real time saves?

I do believe that there will be a new reliable card with real time saves out in a month

He means DSi cards with real time saves.So far Cyclo hasn't come out with the DSi card yet.

No I thought the news of M3 buying up the rights to R4 was, at first, a hoax. I always thought the M3i Zero was legit.

I think I'll go the Acekard 2i route.

Why? Can't the old R4 be used in the Dsi? They need to make a new one?
