r4 card doesnt work in new dsi

HiJust swapped my ds for a dsi and put my r4 card in as normal but its not being recognised by the dsi. Do I need to do something to the dsi to get it to work?

DSi need DSi flashcarts to work,DS flashcarts won't work.

cheers for that. Will my micro sd card fit in a dsi flashcart? Also my sisters getting a dsi xl next month will I have to get a new flashcart for that?
