r4 and ezflash V(slot 2 card)

I have a nintendo DS Lite, i was wondering if i need software for the ezflash V to work, or can i just put the gba file on my r4 and it automatically works? Anyone know? Also when i download rar files, i unzip these random files with the nds. Are those just the author's/uploaders name? or what does it do?

Not sure about the EZflash 3in1 SLOT2 question. I don't have an R4.And yes, those other files are usually just an nfo (Contains data about the game, though I dont know how to view them)
All you really need from the folder is the .nds file.

Depending on your firmware, you may have to use a Homebrew loader like GBAExploader. You run the homebrew, and use it to load the GBA games to your EZFlash 3 in 1 and play them.
