R4 3DS update confirmation steps needed

Ok so my brother has a 3ds in 1.0.0He has the R4 3ds (the red box)on r4i sdhc it says that 2.0 and 2.1 is compatibleall tutorials tells you to run that .nds file wich update thingsI did that and the flashcard went from Nemo to Chessmaster 3DThe console is still V1.0.0 thoughDoes that mean I'm ok to update trough the normal process or what? with nintendo udpate safely?Is it the right way?

Yes, congratulations, when you see the Chessmaster 3D pic, means you have updated your R4i sdhc 3DS card to V2.1.0-3.....then just feel free to update your 3DS console to the V2.0.0 or 2.1.0 and then use your R4i sdhc card ..... Everything is right ...
