Question for MDS

Okay I have a ofw 5.50 PSP.
Is there any way I can downgrade it and install CFW?
Im ready to take any risk.It wasnt 5.50 when I first picked it up.
I can look for its battery number.

...could have pm'd me for a personal question XDI heard there is one way for that....but you need the actual UMD of meal of honour heros 2...Best way is a pandora battery-trithRR would know better as I never used one-but this allows the psp to go into service mode-and yu can go backwards thru firmware-even cfw.But what psp are you running?

Hrm...it is compatible with the MOH exploit...but never tried it.Do you have that game-as in the real one?(I would suggest pandora battery-that way you can use many other types of cfw-but you will need to run "pspident" to check if it can even be hacked just incase-I assume that the date code is safe but best to be sure)Check the tutorials section for pandora-if not-ask trithRR-or change the topic name to..."pandora battery questions"See if he responds.

I believe so.My suggestion just to be safe...1.Use pandora and bring it down to official firmware "5.03"-google that-any version shall do as long as it's official2.Run "chickHEN R2" to allow basic hacked functions-it can play psp iso's like this..but is limited.3.Run "pspident" to see if it can be hacked safely.CHeck my guide-in my sig-it has a pic of a compatibility list of what mother boards to hack.4.Ethier use my guide..or with assistance-use pandora to quickly go to whatever firmware you wish to use.I suggest pandora-it's quicker and easier-but I have yet to use it-and not sure how to get the cfw's installed that way.I suggest ethier 5.00m33v6 or 5.50GEN D-2 as your cfw's-GEN D-2 runs all current games-m33 is more stable-but can't run those games unless they are patched to work.

MDS,code 8b is safe,I just done one,anything above that may not be.....

Here that asd-it's safe.Mine was a later code-but turned out to be safe.I was just...scared.I used pspident just to double check-can't be too careful.Unhackable models won't accept the cfw-and can only run chickHEN on 5.03.

I didn't want the whole vid-but people always leave out details...QUESTION-where to get a safe cheap pandora battery and magik memory stick XD(just incase this GEN firmware fails-planning on jumping ship)

Magic memoery stik is just a term for the software needed to load the firmware needed.I had a soft mod magic memory stick once-it had the gear needed for a psp soft mod XDBasically-it's just firmware files-there are some premade file sets to ownload though-but you can swap out some files like the firmware inside to have a more recent cfw to use.The battery just allows the psp to do it-like a key to a box.

So fucking hard...

If so how?I assume pandora still remains same but magic can change.

You can-it's just files.I suggst coping all the stuff currently to your pc-and have it blank for the software needed.Pandora is a battery-that is the easy part.As for the menu..which vid so I can watch?(If it's recovery menu...hold R button down on start up-hold it before you start just to be sure-but not sure as I haven't watched ethier vid-slow net :( )

Hrm....have you tried google?I found all of my tools from that search engine-sure some other language sites had to be trawled thru...but I found them XD(just try "how to make magic memory stick" and see)

I cant find software to downgrade 5.50.
I can find guides for, I dunno, 3.71.

LOL-that menu is th VSH menu.Press select after you hacked it.The recovery meny has the same options-but this is just basic tools most people use.Once you get it working-I suggest "ultimate vsh menu".It allows you to reach the recovery menu from the vsh-as well as more options-almost never need to use recovery menu XD

I suggest pm'ing TrithRR-he knows.I found one but it was for 3.80 to 5.00m33v4-and site required registration.Not sure if that would work.Ask the real expert I say-I just learnt a few things from him ;D
