Question about 3DS roms.

So I haven't used an R4 since the days of the normal DS R4 cards. These cards had a function which allowed the use of cheats with some games. Does this cheat function still exist on the cards that can use 3DS games, and is it possible to use the cheats on the actual 3DS games and not just the normal DS games?I'm currently deciding whether to buy a 3DS R4 card, hence why I wish to know.

its no longer necessary to buy 3ds cards to play 3ds roms with the release of recent hacks, and also with the recently announced unbricker that was shown off it would be possible to hack and 3ds regardless of firmware.i don't know if ntr cfw (custom firmware) runs on luma cfwfor more information here is the guide site for installing the cfw on 3dsedit: forgot to put the url in

Any recommendation for a card then??
