Question about 3DS Roms

Okay so i really want to play Pokemon X & Y when they release, but i dont want to but a 3DS just for those games (They will be the only games i play on DS) wil there be a Rom where i can play it on my DSi XL and still trade online and battle online etc...?ThanksPS. im new to this forum so sorry if i broke any rules :)

I'm sure it won't be possible to play 3DS games on DSi, because of the differences in the hardware/software between 3DS and older systems.There's only 1 device at the moment that is able to play 3DS ROMs, the Gateway 3DS. It can only be used on 3DS/3DS XL and will be available for $80/€65 at the end of June.

And yes, need 3DS or 2DS since there's no emulator, and DSi don't play 3DS roms.

I'm assuming he's replying to the first post, i.e can I play it on my DSi no I dont think you can.

Its quite cheap actually now and besides the awesome graphics iin pokemon i didn't like it. It was way too easy. I past it in 3 days. There is no need to train extensively to beat gym leader as you did previously.
