QR Codes

I've got a 3ds XL and I'm trying to download player made puzzles but with this new flat screen monitor I can't line it up right! It squishes everything! Could somebody please tell me if setting things to a different resolution will help or what?

QR codes should not be affected by screen resolution or aspect ratio.

OK, so how come I can't line them up in the frame right for downloading?!
