I think GameCube and PS2 are a little too much for the little thing...

Most of all no.
The PSP isn't strong enough to play those yet, it can emulate older handheld games like GBA and GBC though.And it also has a build-in PS1 game emulator, so you can play PS1 game there.

There's supposedly a Dreamcast emulator, but it sucks.No on PS2 and GC. Not powerful enough.

It didn't go anywhere like you said.
I think it was more of a test rather than anything to show that it could be pulled off.
